Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State University’s division of retail and hospitality organizations — NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value, and enrichment of the student experience to support academic success.
 

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to help develop and implement special events in dining units across campus - specifically Dining Hall events.  This position will be a liaison with student and campus groups.  Help design and deploy decor or activities in conjunction with the student or campus groups.  

Compensation: Starting wage $10.75/hr (Tier 2) with opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. Dining and Catering employees earn free meals and are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus

Work Schedule: Flexible schedule; 5-10 hours/week

Location: West Dunn Building, with periodic support that may occur in multiple dining locations around campus

Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with campus partners and student organizations
  • Assist with decoration and marketing needs for special events
  • Assist with the accuracy of posted menus for special events, and website data
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience with the Nutrition and Wellness team, Marketing,  and/or NC State Dining preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, such as participation in Customer Relations and Professionalism Certificate or Leadership Intensive
