HR Student Assistant - Professional Development
Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State University’s division of retail and hospitality organizations — NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success.
Purpose: Promote employee development and engagement for the employees of Campus Enterprises.
Compensation: Tier 2 at $12.00 per hour.
In addition, students who are eligible will receive longevity raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises.
Location: Administrative Services 1 Building
Supervision: Reports to the HR Program Coordinator
Work Schedule:
Employment will begin in May and will continue through the summer and into the academic year the '26-'27 academic year at 10-19 hours per week. Hours will be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administrative support for the Campus Enterprises training program including:
- Managing training registrations and attendance
- Designing and facilitating orientations and professional development workshops
- Organizing data and developing reports
- Advise the division on ways to encourage professional success and skill development among student employees and other employees
- Work with a team to plan events such as professional development workshops, recognition celebrations, and more
- Independently execute projects in areas of interest
- Positively and professionally represent Campus Enterprises as a student employee to the NC State community, prospective employees and coworkers
Essential qualifications:
- Elevated oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and demonstrated experience managing accurate records
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with a team to serve a diverse population
- Google suite savvy
Preferred qualifications:
- Current NC State Campus Enterprises student employee with at least one semester of experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability through formal or informal roles within Campus Enterprises (e.g., Student Manager, team lead, or project coordinator)
- Academic interests that connect to our work, such as Marketing, Education, or Human Resources
- Comfortable with public speaking, presentations, or leading training sessions
- Advanced Google Suite skills, especially with Google Sheets for creating and analyzing content
- A creative thinker who brings fresh ideas and innovative solutions
- Personable, collaborative, and eager to contribute beyond the basics
- Proficiency in Canva, including the creation of infographics
- Demonstrated ability to develop new systems and streamline existing processes
